Here is an update on the packet system here in Camp Hill, PA

So I been having issues with linux unsyncing with the tnc. I
been running a pk232 in kiss mode on the vhf port for quite
a while now, seemed pretty reliable until recently. It is an
old one, no mailbox or anything, so I was impressed it was
working as well as it did.

Today, I swapped it out and put a MFJ version TNC-X in place.
I had another one of these at one time, this one was from TNC_X
directly, and not rebranded MFJ, the tnc could not handle the
load of a 24/7 packet station.

What are your experiences?

Jimmy
