Hi!
In order to prepare annual meeting in the YU7/YT7 union, I need to
gather some info:
- I understood that it is possible for any US ham to send a petition to
the FCC to propose some rule change or like. I would like to confirm is
that is the case, and what is the procedure (in short), and how the FCC
welcomes such petitions? Also, is it needed to have ARRL, or TAPR, or
any other ham group, involved in your own submission?
- Long time ago a US ham told me that there are no registrations of ham
radios by the US government. As well as technical checks of the gear to
see whether radios are FCC-approved or not. (If I understood properly,
only importers/resellers of foreign products need to provide a sample of
the new series to be checked prior to open the US market.) Anything else
in that area? Licensing particular pieces of radios in your ham shack?
- The same questions for other countries as well.
