According to a post on the SatNogs community forum, the April 1st PSLV
launch will contain an APRS payload (to remained fixed to the upper stage
of the rocket).

Anybody know of anything about it?

John,

I have noticed that over the last couple years. Have had to turn it back on
during several passes. I never remember having to do that in the early
years of the sat. Maybe it is showing its age.

PSLV-C45 is unlikely to be an April Fool, seems to be a delayed launch
https://spaceflightnow.com/launch-schedule/ I guess time will tell.

The 10-minute timer is documented here:
https://www.amsat.org/two-way-satellites/so-50-satellite-information/
although I can see you might assume that the 10 minutes means "10 minutes
with no use".

But I was always told "don't worry about the 10 minute timer--someone will
have triggered it". Maybe the "someones" who used to trigger it frequently
are using it less than they used to :-)
