In FBB it was done by add-on programs called "servers",
look internet archives for: auto7p by IK1GKJ.
I'm run it well decades ago for dos and win fbb.
LinFBB should have some equivalent, if i'm recall well it was 7pserv or 7plserv,
but never used as not a linux-man :)
