Hi ALL,
Its with great sadness that I write this message.
This afternoon (May 4th) Red (PE1RRR) passed away.
He was put under palliative sedation on Thursday 2nd May, because he was too sick to carry on.
To me he was an amazing friend that I have known since our CB days back when we
were teens racing round on our bikes,
Red of course had a CB & antenna on his hi hi
We have helped each other out in many ways over the years and this loss is going to hit me quite hard.
Many of you may know him from Packet Radio, Helping, testing, innovating.
Red had a fantastic mind for working out things & solving problems, many times not even sleeping until he worked out the problem or managed to find a work around.
Red will be missed very much in our community
RIP Red, May you hear our packets where ever you are.
