I searched the e-mail and archives and nothing found of the tally. It
should have been posted on the AMSAT-NA website but not there either as
of my last check. ANS I seldom read because it is usually TLDR.

I might recall, perhaps correctly or incorrectly, that at one point you
mentioned you're not a member of AMSAT. I'm willing to be corrected however.

What was the exact subject of the email? I'm a member and I didn't notice

About ARISS:

?

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative
venture of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies that
support the International Space Station (ISS).? In the United States,
sponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American
Radio Relay League (ARRL), the ISS National Lab and National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA). The primary goal of ARISS is to promote
exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM)
topics by organizing scheduled contacts via amateur radio between crew
members aboard the ISS and students in classrooms or public forms. Before
and during these radio contacts, students, educators, parents, and
communities learn about space, space technologies, and amateur radio. For
more information, see www.ariss.org.

JoAnne;

No, I never said such a thing, nor sure why you would even bring that up at
all, or why it would be relevant to my asking about the tally.

I have been a licensed ham for ~25 years and a dues paying member of AMSAT;
member # #31678 for well over 24 years. , However with what I see going on
here I am rethinking that.

Jeff Jones Posted in social media that AMSAT blocked him from reading
Tweets, etc.

In fact, this is what he posted

Now, I must report what has happened to me as a result of speaking out
against the incumbents (legacy) members of the AMSAT BoDs. Because I spoke
out, I was removed from the AMSAT-BB mailing list (a direct violation of
AMSAT-NA bylaws). I was removed and banned from the AMSAT-NA Facebook page
and I am blocked from viewing the AMSAT Twitter feed.

I am a member, and I would like the Board to respond with what criteria
were followed in order to come to this conclusion. Is there a Bylaw that
he violated? This reads like one person decided on his or her own to lock
him out.

I have no personal gain in this, however, I do get concerned when things
start to take on a dictator roll.

Does AMSAT follow any sort of Democracy process?

Thanks Charles

I hope it was related to that and if so then the offender was educated what
he did wrong. To do it without informing the offender as to why is just
wrong.

The person in question clearly violated the Acceptable Use Policy for the
AMSAT Public Mailing Lists (AUP), and was informed of such.
??
While AMSAT embraces diversity of opinions and values, we will not allow
AMSAT mailing lists to be used to make inflammatory posts containing attacks
against individuals or AMSAT.
??
We caution subscribers when the content of posts begin to cross a line and
inform them when it becomes necessary to remove them from the list.? This is
done privately and professionally, as it should be.

I?m tired of the childish behavior of this organization and it?s prehistoric
model of dealing with issues. I?ve had enough of the drama always consuming
the list, and I?m finally starting to realize this organization is
essentially a fraud at this point.
