Hi Gustavo!

BTW in Hamradio world de-facto continent codes was provided by RSGB IOTA
dx award program, there are 6 total well known to almost all HF hams
continent codes, quoting from IOTA rules:

"LIST STRUCTURE A.2.1
The Directory lists island groups by continent –
Africa (AF), Antarctica (AN), Asia (AS), Europe (EU), North
America (NA), Oceania (OC) and South America (SA). "

And if I'm recall well, the same codes was originally adopted for packet bbs HA
"top domain" code too!

Same 6 codes used for many other tasks, for example:
https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.geoip-continent-code-by-name.php

The story about shoring to 2-letter in Europe as of many VHF nodes - more like
a myth :-) The economy of extra 2 bytes per each R-line is almost nothing...

And thank you for recall in community list of the 3-letter World's country codes too! :)

73, Sergej.
