Sorry, first reply message was sent as P-type by my error.

Now send copy as normal bull with add some P.S. at and:

Gents,

There is old thread about change all to 4-letter codes but in real world its
don't have any practical sense.

Just try to think why we need to divide one African continent to few different codes
or why on other case to unite New Zealand and Australia to "AUNZ" - its all senseless!
And few of last African BBS'es still uses classic-original code of .AF,
for example ZAF.AF - South Africas bbs.

Two letter codes still can and work well!
Change to 4-letter code was need on begin of 90's for some old NOS BBS s/w
that had problem to sort P-mails from E-mails...
More modern BBS s/w don't have that problems.

But now Internet domain names begin to use 4-letter domains too.
For example, internet domain of .ASIA is already exist.
And nobody will protect our packet community from begin to use .EURO on internet too!

So again, that change to 4-codes is obsolete and senseless!

But if North Americans almost gone to .NOAM - maybe let keep it as it is,
because it can take much time to go again to .NA.

But most Europeans still sit on original .EU address,
just Britain and one other EU-country changed to .EURO.

73, Sergej.

P.S.
Code for Antarctica should be .AN or .ANTR in 4-letter style.

Oceania was always .OC,
for example well known in past BBS R-lines address: ZL2BAU.#73.NZL.OC
