I am playing with some old hostmode firmware and emulation
software, and as I am reading the help docs, it seems to
assume some previous knowledge of the nitty gritty of hostmde
operation. Can someone on here explain how it works in
some detail, or reference an old doc?

Here are some examples:

How do channels work? How do I set calls for different channels?
Is it possible to connect to another station while I am attached
as a raw user? I am aware it was not intended for that, but it
is nice to test it out. Are there still specs available some where
if I wanted to write some code for WA8DED or TF2.7b ROMs? Scouring
the web had me come up somewhat short on these questions, but I am
sure some of you are data horders (like me) and still have some of
this stuff dating pre WWW.

Hope to hear from some packet veterans.
